Prevention
Data Project

Stay informed about the latest data assets and developments in Intimate Partner Harm and Violence, Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Sex Trafficking in Santa Cruz County.

"Aggregating and analyzing data from all our local survivor-serving partners will help shape our collective strategy for prevention of violence and enable us to work better together towards common goals for safe and healthy children and communities."

Julie P. Macecevic, Ph.D., licensed psychologist PSY2388, and Executive Director of Walnut Avenue Family & Women's Center

Why data for prevention?

The long-term goal of this group is to carefully and systematically develop a few standard measures for the County that can be used to understand and track issues changing through time and geography so that prevention and intervention can be placed when, where, and to whom they are needed most.

How you can be involved

We invite service providers, community leaders, and concerned citizens to contribute to our ongoing survey. Your insights will be invaluable in shaping a comprehensive data framework that better supports prevention efforts.

By participating, you’ll:

  • Help Fill Critical Data Gaps: Your contributions will enhance our understanding of local issues.

  • Guide Future Prevention Efforts: Data collected through this survey will help shape strategies and initiatives that address the most pressing needs in our community.

  • Join a Collaborative Network: Become part of a coalition dedicated to making Santa Cruz County a safer place for everyone.
